In Love With Super Junior

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 9:54 AM

It took me a long time to finally made this confession... I LOVE SUPER JUNIOR!!!

Who is Super Junior??? In short, a boyband from South Korea with 13 members, made them the largest boyband in the world. You can google their name and you will find information about them.

I love their song ONLY since December 2009. Thanks to Hellofest 2009 where one of the participants performed Super Junior's song "Sorry Sorry". Made me search through internet about Super Junior. First, only love their one song, which is "Sorry Sorry". Then, about a months ago, when I lived in my cousin's house and watched Indovision channel, I stumbled to KBS Channel and I saw a glimpse of Super Junior's video. Very curious, I opened the computer, sign in to YouTube and looked for the video, which is "It's You". From that moment I saw the video, I knew I was struck by them. I', in love with Super Junior. That video made me a new E.L.F. (Everlasting Friends, that's how they called their fans).

I confessed to my friend, Laras. She's already a fans of K-Pop and J-Pop for years. So she's my senior in this area hehehe. I asked her a bit about Super Junior and any updates before I browse the internet. She gave me a few hints about what's going on with Super Junior. The rest, I searched through Internet myself. I also collected every stage performances. They dance beautifully with awesome choreography. Everytime I saw them onstage, I always wanted to scream. I successfully brainwashed my cousin Mudhya because I played "It's You" all the time when I stayed in her house.

It took me 2 weeks to remember and identified 13 members.  But I can easily identified the 13 members hehehe. Even when they change their style right now hehehe. I also start to collecting their pictures as a group and pictures of my 2 favourite members, Hankyung and Siwon. Especially Siwon because now he have a great 6-packs abs!!! I'm easily fall with man with great abs hehehe. Because of Siwon's picture in Men's Health cover that revealed his great abs, I made Mr. Frog motivated to made his abs slimmer. I always joked to Mr. Frog that he should release the helmet on his abs hehehe.

My friends in the same cubicle with me all tolerated with my new obsession. Everyday, I played their songs everyday in my PC or cellphone. I even changed the ringtone my SE P1i with Super Junior's song. I browsed the internet during lunch break for new infos about them. Because of this, my friends told me that I'm more teenager than average teenager hehehe.

The last time I felt this way with bands was a long time ago, when F4, Westlife, N'Sync and Backstreet Boys were on top of the world hehehe. Now, few years later, I did the same thing like I was in schools. I told this to Laras and she said what I'm doing is 'normal'. About my age, she said that lots of Super Junior fans out there were older than me but they didn't confess to public, like I did.

My other obsession is to watch Super Junior live in their concert. The latest news, they stopped by in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manila for theri Super Show Concert. I determined to go to Singapore if they didn't put Jakarta as one of their schedule. I will save some money until that day come hehehe. First thing to do, made a passport!!!

The issue of Super Junior right now is very serious, at least for me. Hankyung asked for contract termination, Kibum had an acting commitment and Kangin will go to military service for 2 years. I've read in many forums and blogs that the ELF around the world still believe to those 3 members and will support the 10 members remaining performed onstage. I believe in them too. I keep following their news and still hope everything will turn out well.

Well, let's get back to work and plug my ears with Super Junior's song!!!

I opened my email account and read messages from mailing lists I joined. One of my friends posted a link to the news about employee who worked to death in Shenzhen. I was shocked! Yes, I realized that people worked overtime but underpaid is becoming serious issue in some countries. But worked to death??? I don't know what to say. Thanks to my friend Arlan for sharing the link.

You can found the news here.
