SSB Soccer Game, Students VS Staffs

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 1:33 PM
Saturday 20/11 I woke up early. Did some laundry and clean my room. At 7 AM, I walked to soccer field in Mulia Business Park. Today is a soccer game between SSB students versus staffs. This event was organized since a week ago. After mid-term, students need some relaxation and soccer is the answer. When I arrived at the field, some students already did some stretching and played little game. While waiting the others to come, I talked to the students about their activities and their feelings after mid-term.

Fifteen minutes later, SSB staffs arrived. From lecturers line, there's Pak Arnold, Pak Eka, Pak Bambang, and Tim. From staffs, there's Awil, Fariz, Mas Guruh, Pak Dino from SF, and OB guy from Mulia (sorry I still didn't know his name huhuhu). From students, errrrr lots of them hehehe. The game will set in 2x20 minutes. Kick-off started from Students.

About 2 minutes later, Pak Bambang has a cramp on his feet (poor him) so he can't continue the game although his a goalkeeper. Get well soon, Pak Bambang!!! The game itself very competitive. The students played with all their hearts, while the staffs tried their best to catch up with the students. Well, the age gap really influenced the staffs performance hehehe. The final score, 4-1 for the students.

It's a fun way to spend your Saturday with colleagues and students. Waiting for the next event!!!

Insulted

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 6:33 PM
It's been awhile since my last post. Yeah, I know I'm getting lame. But I can't help it. Every time I want to write something, suddenly I felt lazy hehehe. If you asked my feeling, well the title described it. Hey I also have right to whine right hehehe.

Why I felt insulted? Although it wasn't directly to me, but the way it delivered and the content of it really insulted me as Indonesian. Yes, sadly, it was done by an expatriate. I'm not gonna break the details about who, when, where and how. It's gonna be private, but maybe I gave a few hint. I just wanna share my concern on this.

My entire life, my encounter with expatriates, this is the first time I met such a rude expatriate. I mean, all expatriate I've met, whether they came to visit or already live in Indonesia for a long time, they all very nice. But this expatriate is an exception. TOTALLY AN EXCEPTION!!! First, the way he wrote an email. It's rude how he's accusing and bossing around people. Especially the accusing part, although it was his fault. Second, the attitude of asking. He insisted to have one item, although I already said to him it's limited and he must go through me to borrow the item. Totally mindless!!! There's still countless events that I couldn't mention one by one.

I know it's not clear about the problems. But I'm very disappointed with this situation. It affected my mood. Above all, I never met such a rude expatriate. I love all my friends, both Indonesian and expatriate. We build mutual relationships. But for this person, I already learn to ignore his presence near me. I don't care anymore. Because he didn't respect the others, why should I respect him... I sounded like a grudging person, well that's me. Especially when it comes to my pride, as an Indonesian and as a human...

After Hiatus... Try To Be Positive

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 11:45 AM
It's been a long time since my last post. Well what can I say. From August to early October I moved out from Sudirman office to Pancoran office. Yup, I'm officially moved to another unit of Sampoerna Foundation which is Sampoerna School of Business. So I took a long hiatus from blogging because I concentrated to created a new system in this very new office. Now I have the time to continue my old hobby hehehe.

Which one of you got stuck last night (25/10) in Jakarta due to never ending rain and jam? Well I'm one of them. Being commuter, stuck in heavy traffic is one of the consequences. But never thought I will experiencing last night event. I walked out from my office in Sudirman on 7 PM. Got into the bus, and stuck for 1 hour in Kuningan flyover bridge because there was an accident. All I did was closed my eyes, tried to sleep, just to make my mind clear and not bashing or cursing my situation (because I already in it). So I put my iPOD on  listened to some music.

Finally I can got out from the mess around 8.30 PM. In Bidakara, I decided to got out of the bus and... took a walk to Cawang!!! It's already 9 PM and I'm tired just sat in the bus without any progress. Turn out, a lot faster than any vehicle that stuck. I arrived in Cawang at 10 PM and thank God there's a taxi. I took a taxi and went straight to home. At 11 PM I finally arrived. Home Sweet Home!!!

This morning, I told my Grandparents about last night's traffic. One sentence from my Grandma, "Thank God you already have your rental room. You should move to your rental room immediately so you won't be experiencing horrible traffic because of rain."

I will move to my rental room on Wednesday. The location is exactly in front of my office!!! Very nice place and I'm grateful to have a room there because when it's only 3 rooms left when I came and only 1 with better view hehehe. So I should consider myself lucky with my rental room.

Now I'm still dizzy from the combination of exhaustion and lack of sleep. Not to mention my sore feet. I should be grateful because I'm sure lots of people arrived very very very very late at home than me. Some of them found out there were flood in their area so they have to stay alert and clean the house in the morning. So I won't complain about yesterday's event. Be positive...

When The Past Call Me

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 4:00 PM
It's been a month since I broke up from Mr. Frog hehehe. It's been a month we haven't contact each other. Yeah, we ended up really bad and didn't have a good closure. So I kinda surprised that he called me before fasting started. I didn't recognized his voice at first. So when he said that he's Mr. Frog I totally shocked. I was thinking, "What the heck!!!"

He wanted to say sorry before fasting and talked about what happen between us. Since he called me in 7 AM while I'm preparing my work for the day, I responded with half-hearted. He knew that I will start working, so he ended his call. I noticed that he changed his number. Hey, I still remember his previous number I deleted because it's unique.

I didn't expect that he's gonna called again. But I was wrong!!! He called me again around 3 AM!!! Yep, he used to be my wake up call, and he did remember that function hehehe. We talked a bit. Especially me, I talked with my eyes half open because of sleepiness. But then my eyes wide awakened when he said this to me, "Please don't mad at me. But I still miss you."

My reaction???

LAUGHING SO HARD!!! *literally*

I can't believe that he said that to me!!! We broke up because of his selfish act (believe me, he did that). Suddenly, he said that he still miss me??? REALLY!!! This guy still flirt with me???

Dear Mr. Frog, here's my advice to you... GET A LIFE!!! LOL :D

Wake Me Up When July Ends

Posted by Maddy Pertiwi on 12:33 AM

Yes, I changed a bit the title of Green Day. It should be "Wake Me Up When September Ends", but I changed it July. This month is really special to me, especially July 2010. Let me tell you why.

My birthday is in July. It's July 13 to be precise. Then other birthdays, my brother Yudha in July 22 and my uncle in July 30. Not to mention my grandparent anniversary in July 19. You know what? It's their 50th anniversary!!! That's from my family. Let's add the in-laws my grandparents have. LOTS of my relatives celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries in July. Not to mention the succeed of my cousins advance to the next class. So that's why I personally called that July is Month of Celebration.

But the most important thing is,,, finally my Mum's here!!! Yes, she came back from Abu Dhabi for one-month leave. For 3 years, she worked in Abu Dhabi. For 3 years, I haven't seen her. That's why, when she came back on July 3, me and my brother very excited to welcome her home. I can see in her eyes that she missed us, too. That's why, during her stay for one month, we went to several places that became our memory. Like, we went to eat bakso at Apotek Rini Rawamangun, went to Blok M and many other places. I also ask her to come to my office and I will treat her lunch. Later that day, Grandma told me that Mum told her how proud she is. She proud that for 3 years of her absence, I finished my college and by my brother's side in his special days. She proud that I can work in a good place, inside a nice building. She proud that I at least I can pay my own electricity bill and Grandma's electricity bill. I know Mum is not the type who speaks freely about her feelings. So heard what she said to Grandma, made me feel... happy.

I tried to updated her about our lives in the past 3 years. The first night she arrived, I told her about my love life. That I broke up with Mr. Frog a week before her arrival. Mum encouraged me to be a brave young woman. She asked why, I just said that I think Mr. Frog wasn't meant for me, although I loved him so much. Mum said that I will find a better man than Mr. Frog and she always pray for that. Having my Mum in that difficult time, really helped me a lot.

Too bad she only got 1 month. In August 3, she was on her way back to Abu Dhabi. I can't go with her to the airport. She said no need to go to the airport since I must go to work. She went to the airport with my brother only.

That day, I kinda thought, July is like a dream. Because Mum is here for a short time. But she told me, and whole family, that she will back for good in the next 2 years. Keep praying for her everyday. Love you Mum!!!
